Outdoor Estate Inspired Wedding

Finding the perfect venue is always one of the toughest part of the wedding planning process. But once you find the right one, everything comes to place! For this styled shoot, I teamed up with some of my favorite vendors (listed at the end) to showcase a timeless style for an outdoor wedding reception at one of my favorite wedding venues. Located in the beautiful city of Chino Hills that is full of green open fields, lies Wedgewood’s Vellano Country Club.

I chose this Mediterranean Estate after having a client’s wedding here back in early February. After visiting the venue once, I was just in awe with how gorgeous it was inside and out!

Outside by one of their outdoor ceremony locations, I collaborated with talented local vendors to put together an intimate outdoor reception set up. With light blue linens, we filled the table with luscious centerpieces that created somewhat of a “bridge” shape. For each table setting, I had a clear beaded glass charger with a boomerang folded napkin placed next to an adorable mini cupcake stand which holds a cupcake! Why not gift your guests with more than just a simple dessert?! (I would not mind having a mini cupcake stand as a party favor!) Using extra greenery, we placed a small stem on top of each napkin for the finishing touch.

The dessert table is one of the favorite areas where guests would flock to (after the bar). I displayed delicious cupcakes, cake pops, cake shots, and macarons from Katella Bakery on my Amalfi Decor cake stands. Ahh! I love it when something looks good but also tastes delicious too! Take a look below! We also decorated the dessert table with a tall centerpiece created by Rose Says. It was just perfect as the focal point to our table!

Wedding trends come and go and always make a comeback. But to me, I love styling a wedding where the decor will never go out of style and that was one of the reasons why chose the color scheme of light blue, whites, and gray. It simply is timeless. What makes this shoot even more stunning is the background/location of where we had this. Behind the photos, you will see Vellano Country Club. Their building is amazing and gives the shoot more character. I do love architecture and Vellano is one of my top favorites from the venues I’ve been to.

Styled photoshoots are definitely different than actual weddings…in terms of photography and styling. Our team of vendors are able to move things around, create different combinations, and just be flexible through the whole process. With that being said, as you scroll down and see the photos below, you will notice how some show tables parallel to one another, while in some, the tables are connected side by side.

Sometimes you don’t need to have florals as a centerpiece. When it comes to a typical family party or a smaller gathering, you can always have desserts as the main item of the table. What would you showcase on your tables? Are you more of a flower person or sweets and desserts type of person?
