Easy to Prepare: Cheese Platter

Easy to Prepare: Cheese Platter

When having guests over, I like making sure they are taken care of. I always provide them with drinks and a snack, even if they plan on making just a short visit. One of the easiest snacks I love putting together is a cheese and meat tray. It’s simple and delicious! However, if you’re always doing things last minute like me, there are “ready to be served” cheese and meat platters at your local grocery store! All you have to do is transfer the snacks onto a nice presentable tray or serving dish. These platters are usually between $9.99-$19.99. (Such as the one you see here).

However, if you do have some time on your hands, you can easily prepare your own type of cheese platter by adding the crackers and meats that you know everyone in your circle will enjoy. You will also get more for what you pay for when you buy your ingredients. (I’ll post my own custom cheese platter soon!)

I love mixing and matching different crackers, cheeses, and thin slices of meat. By having variety, you and your guests will be able to enjoy the different flavors of each item and combinations.

Things You Want to Include: Different types of cheese: soft, semi-soft, semi-hard, hard(sharp) textures  |  Bread, such as classic Baguette, and different types of crackers  |  Fruits  |  Nuts  | Jam

Be sure to add some fresh fruits on your tray!  I know my family and friends just LOVE grapes. So I added both red and green. I had to make sure they were cold and perfect for them to indulge in. If you want to go all out, be sure to serve your platter with glasses of wine!

The tray I used was from Home Goods. I bought it when it was on clearance for only $10! That was a steal! If you noticed in some of my other posts, I used this same tray for other occasions! Wooden serving trays, such as this, can be used for breakfast in bed, cheese platters, displaying sweets and treats for your dessert bars, drink pitcher stations, coffee stations, and much more!

Below you will find what exactly I have on my tray!
