Amy and Jon’s July wedding at the Nashville Zoo was filled with love, giraffes, mimosas, and celebration! This was a beautiful and emotional day for all, but especially Amy. Both of her parents passed away rather suddenly last year before she and Jon got engaged, so Amy’s brother walked her down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun.” Amy felt like this song was perfect after such a “long cold lonely winter” kind of year, this wedding was absolutely the sun she need. During the ceremony, a bouquet of yellow roses were laid on the front row for Amy’s late mother. Jon even hand built the cross that they got married in front of behind the Croft Historic Home at the zoo. Jon and Amy’s first dance was a choreographed
Bollywood dance that they nailed! All of the guests were over the moon with their presentation. It was humbling to see how deeply loved Jon and Amy are by their friends; people flew from California to begin celebrating on Wednesday before the wedding, and the party didn’t stop at the reception! After their big send off, many guests went out to celebrate the couple in Nashville. They lovely bride and groom were incredibly pleased with how their wedding day went; it all ran so smoothly between bridal party mimosas, feeding giraffes by hand, the perfect outdoor ceremony, a sloth at the reception, and a night full of dancing! The next day, Amy and Jon began their journey to Thailand for two weeks to feed elephants and enjoy South East Asia’s rich culture.
